PORTSMOUTH, Va. — My Brother’s Keeper is a service program developed with the mission of advocating and improving the quality of life for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. brothers, their spouses, and widows who are retired, are elders, have disabilities and are ailing.

Today, the Brothers of the Epsilon Nu Lambda Chapter crisscrossed the Hampton Roads area to deliver poinsettias to Alpha widows. (More poinsettias were delivered than pictured below). In years past, this project has been implemented by Brother Mabry, who is currently recovering from surgery. Serving as backups today were the current Chapter President, the Immediate Past Chapter President and current Chair of the Membership Committee, the sole remaining Chapter Founder who happens to be 90 years old, and the chapter’s neophyte. We don’t know who enjoyed today more, the brothers or the widows.
